Talcum
Talcum is a powder, it absorbs moisture well and helps cut down on friction, making it useful for keeping skin dry and helping prevent rashes. It is widely used in cosmetic products such as baby powder and adult body and facial powders, as well as in a number of other consumer products. Talc is applied to the outside of tablets and capsules to make them easier to swallow and prevent sticking to the mold during manufacturing. It is mixed into the powder of tablets and capsules to improve powder flow and reduce friction. It is a water-repellent substance that prevents powders from clumping together. It is coated on tablets to help the body absorb the medication more quickly. It is commonly used in tablets, pills, and capsules because it’s inexpensive, physiologically inert, and has unique properties.
